Breakaways 3
Back to Activities

Description
•Attackers try to dribble around keeper (defender) and score in the goal.
•Attackers must shoot from offensive half of the field.
•If keeper makes a save, the attacker becomes the new keeper.
•If the attacker kicks the ball out of bounds, they become the new keeper.
•If attacker scores, or the keeper kicks it out of bounds, the keeper stays.
•If playing with defenders instead of keepers, the defender must dribble the ball over the opposite end line in order to exchange places with the attacker.
•As soon as the ball is out of play, a new attacker goes, not waiting for the ‘defender’ to get set.
•Attackers get their own ball and spring back in line.
•One point for each goal scored.
•Minus one point if defender is in three times in a row.
Variations:
•This game can also be played with a defender in the ‘keepers’ spot.
